Since Joan's position as a real estate salesperson requires her to be on her feet throughout the day, we wanted to select shoes that were comfortable yet stylish. Additionally, we took Joan's ankle type into consideration when shopping for her. She has thin ankles, so we looked for a style to flatter them. Chunky heels would only exaggerate the skinniness of her lower leg, so we eliminated that type of shoe right away. We chose these espresso-brown pumps because the heel was thin and of medium height, so they were functional and fashionable.
