It's amazing how one accessory can make such a huge difference in an overall look. Joan is tall but has a small frame, so we didn't want to overwhelm her with a large buckle. Her slim waistline is an asset, however. So to highlight it, we chose a contrasting color. Had her waistline been bigger, we would have chosen a camel-colored accessory to blend in with the jacket. The chocolate brown and silver of the belt anchored her ensemble: It tied together the browns in her skirt and her dark-colored shoes and handbag.
