Hair and makeup

Our first step in softening Lori's look was to take her gorgeous curly hair all the way down, creating a frame around her face that was more feminine than her "before" look. Next was her makeup. Lori was accustomed to wearing smoky eyes and dark red lipstick to complement her mostly black ensembles. Our goal was to create a more natural look that was still polished. We felt that adding some shimmer was the perfect compromise. We blended some illuminating moisturizer into her foundation before we applied it, to create a subtle glow. Then, to further enhance the look, we chose a lip gloss and an eye shadow with a slight sparkle. The result was understated yet slightly sassy.
