From City Sleek to Country Chic
Living amid the hustle and bustle of a big city can permeate every aspect of your life. It can even dictate the way you dress, especially if you work in an edgy industry. When the workday includes meeting with stylish people and going to "in" restaurants, your daily dress code is composed of sleek and sexy silhouettes, even on the weekend. But what happens when you travel outside the city? Your look makes you stand out and can even appear inappropriate. Your goal should be to wear casual styles that are fashionable but not too fad-driven. Here, we did a makeover for Lori, an in-the-scene urban dweller who's planning to start spending weekends in the country with her family.

Lori's city-sleek lookLori came to us because she and her husband had bought a small house upstate. While they still had their city apartment, they were planning to spend weekends and vacations in the country with their young son. Lori is a fashion executive, and her wardrobe consists of trendy, body-skimming items and high heels, mostly in black. And while she was seeking a more relaxed look for her new surroundings, she feared she would end up looking frumpy. See how we took Lori from city sleek to country chic.
