Name: Victorya
Age: 24
Occupation: Web designer
Victorya was nervous about getting a makeover, but she was ready for a more daring and contemporary look -- especially for the holidays. Taylor, a hairstylist at Paul Labrecque Spa, created what he calls a feminine deconstructed bob for Victorya. He created long layers that could be blown dry straight or flipped out at the ends. He razor cut the back of her hair to give the style more movement than a traditional blunt cut.
Makeover created by: Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa, New York City.
Taylor felt Victorya had a good base color, but he added highlights to brighten her hair. He used two different colors, a very light tone and a medium blonde, to create chunky highlights.
To style her hair, Taylor first applied Paul Labrecque Spray Volume at the roots all over the head. Then he clipped up the top layers of hair before blow-drying. Using Paul Labrecque's extra-large round bristly brush, pull hair out and slightly under while applying heat. This type of boar-bristle brush helps promote shine in the hair.
For her makeup, Victorya was given a glittery look perfect for the season. Labrecque's makeup artist, Seven, first evened her skin tone. She then applied a light layer of yellow-toned cream foundation all over Victorya's skin to neutralize the redness in her face. Next, using a professional tip, Seven applied extra loose powder under Victorya's eyes before applying eye makeup to catch any shadow that may fall. After finishing the eyes, she brushes away the excess powder.
Seven lined Victorya's top and bottom lashes with black pencil liner. Then she applied Shu Uemura ME Silver 945 all over the lid. Then using a shadow brush, she pressed Shu Uemura Etincell Iridescent Shadow in Peony into the outer corners of Victorya's lid. She used a matte peach shade on the brow bone as a subtle highlighter
