Twenty-two-year-old Gina is growing out her hair - but her style doesn't have to suffer! With a slight trim to add shape and the right products to define volume and offer lift, she has flipped for her new look.

Name: Gina
Age: 29
Occupation: Sales assistant in the fashion industry

Gina didn't want to change her hair drastically -- she is growing it out. Hairstylist Ana suggested taking an inch off the length, which would allow her to create a shape Gina would love

Makeover created by: Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa, New York City.

Ana barely cut any hair, but she did create layers. She says layers will give Gina's hair more volume on top and more movement.

2

The important part of this style is to create volume in the crown, so before styling, Ana applied Paul Labrecque Volume Spray to Gina's roots. Then she tousled Gina's hair, and lifted portions of her hair while blow-drying. To create a bottom flip, Ana ran her fingers down the length of Gina's hair, bending it up at the ends. (You can also use a round brush to achieve this look.) Ana created a flip for all the layers of Gina's hair. (She applied Paul Labrecque Spray Soft hair spray to the ends

For Gina's holiday look, Seven chose to place an emphasis on Gina's eyes by shaping her brows and adding eyeliner.

4

First Seven applied black eyeliner to Gina's top lashes. For the most even line, Seven drew small dashes across the lid then connected them, rather than trying to draw one continuous line. Then she applied a light, shimmering blue shadow all over the lower lid. She followed by pressing a deeper midnight blue into the outer corners of her lids.
