As a model and actress, Sarah is accustomed to having hairstylists and makeup artists fuss over her. But as a busy mother of a two-year-old daughter, she says she often prefers to take her beauty regimen into her own hands. She wanted to keep her hair blonde, but needed to "freshen up" her color. She decided to go with a toasted coconut shade.
After achieving her base color, Sarah prepared to add highlights. She mixed the solution using a mascara-like "wand" that will allow for even application.
Because she wanted her hair highlighted all over, she pinned up the upper layers of her hair and began on the bottom layer. To keep the lighter colors even on both sides, she applied the highlights one at a time from left to right.
To match her updated golden hues, Sarah selected a delicate makeup look, keeping it soft around the eyes. To help define her eyes she combed both brows and lashes as shown here. For her lips she chose L'Oreal's Crayon Petite automatic lip liner in the shade barely pink.
