Your foundation looks like a mask. Foundation is meant to undetectably even skin tone, not erase your face. If you can see any delineation of color at all, you're in need of a make-under big-time. It's all about identifying the right color, applying strategically and blending, blending, blending.

Your lips are permanently stained vermilion. If you can't detect the natural color of your lips as a result of years of wearing only brightly tinted lipsticks, it may be time to make under your color choice. Try something less spectacular. Lips were not meant to be vermilion, purple or bubble-gum pink all the time! To roll off old lipstick traces and dead skin, Grayson suggests using a gentle exfoliator like Benefit Buffing Lip Beads and following with its Silky Lip Balm.

Your lip liner is prominent. If you wear lip liner that is darker than your lipstick, whether it's on the lip, outside the lip line or inside the lip line, you're in need of a make-under. "Obvious dark or bright lip liner is not pretty — it looks strange," Grayson says. "You are not a Roy Lichtenstein comic-book character; you are a human. Get a hold of yourself!"
