Since we had the gold look covered with her jewelry and bag, we opted for elegant black shoes to go with Britney's outfit. Peep-toes were a trend, so we thought these sophisticated black sling-backs would appeal to Britney's taste and look fabulous with the rest of her ensemble. She questioned whether or not we were breaking the old-school rule of matching shoes to handbag, but we explained that it no longer applied and that not matching was a more modern look. Since Britney was accustomed to wearing heels, height was not an issue when it came to picking her pumps.
