Rico's new hairstyle!
Hundreds of women told iVillage why the dads in their lives needed a makeover on the Today show for Father's Day. It wasn't easy to choose just three of those dads! But Rico's story stood out; he had recently moved his family to Indiana from Minnesota and started a new job.
Rico's wife, Chassidy, submitted his photo to iVillage without telling him. She wrote: "My husband is a 44-year-old father of four, ages 17, 9, 4 and 2. He is a very active father and never has any time for himself. He is always dressed in pants that do not fit right and big, baggy T-shirts. This is the way he dresses for our dates also. I think a makeover would boost his self-confidence and make public outings easier on our children. Please help us!"
So Today's fashion and beauty experts went to the rescue.
First, stylist Stacy London took Rico to Saks Fifth Avenue to find a look that would signal more confidence than old jeans and a baggy T-shirt. Stacy suggested Rico choose shirts in bright colors that play up his skin tone. She also recommended he try clothes that are more tailored than T-shirts and yet are still easy to wear and comfortable. Here, she explains what she selected for Rico and why:
