At the famous Louis Licari salon in New York City, Ralph had over 21 inches of hair cut off, which will be sent to Locks of Love. "Underneath all this hair," says Licari, "We found this great-looking guy." Hairstylist Adele chose to keep more length at the top and make the style tighter on each side to give Ralph a hipper look, says Licari. And because Ralph's hair was mostly gray in the sideburn area, colorist Olivia carefully and naturally covered the gray by painting dye over it with a Q-tip, leaving the rest of the hair untouched. "If your hair is gray in specific areas like the sideburns," says Licari, "use a Q-tip on those gray strands only."
